Once we're across, we'll need to build some charges to blow open an entrance point in the mountain. We'll need to smash 'em! I'd like the Builders help on this one. Before we get to the Director's robot there are a couple of things we'll need to be doing.įirst, there are rocks beyond the bridge pass. Really? I thought we were going with the same concept as our Portia plan? May I say, sir: you have excellent taste. The only downside is that the rocks in this route are mostly metamorphic rock formations, so the drilling machine to be used for this. In between, we have the two mountain ranges and the vast desert.įor the Sandrock tunnel, we've selected the shortest route through the Eufaula Range to save money. We're here, on the top right corner, and Portia is on the bottom left. This is a map of the Southern Eufaula between Sandrock and Portia. Mint and I have surveyed parts of the Eufaula Range and we've come up with a tweaked plan to present to everyone. Now that everyone's here, let's start the meeting. Mint, Heidi, and Trudy are presenting with Albert, Musa, Mi-an, Qi, and the player as the audience. There is no time limit to complete the mission.Īfter A Bridge Too Far Mint and Heidi invite the player to the meeting at the City Hall. The mechanics are better, the QoL changes that were made are stellar, the art is better, the storytelling is better, and I adore the NPCs.The player must have completed A Bridge Too Far. That said, if you *do* wind up liking Portia, I definitely think you should snap up Sandrock at its EA price while you can. On top of that? Nexus has a ton of fun mods for Portia that will make repeated play-throughs even better. I far prefer the romance options in Sandrock, but there are some lovely NPCs in Portia, and the dating/romance/marriage mechanic is fully implemented. I have hundreds of hours on Portia - it's a fantastic game with a lot of things to do and a lot of heart. Just remember to grab Sandrock before it's fully released, since it will be priced higher after EA is over. Instead of waiting for updates to the game, playing Portia should hold you over till Sandrock is done (or close to done). It'll also give you a good idea if you'll even like this type of game in the first place. However, Portia is still a really fun game and deserves to be experienced at least once. The stories, what are there, are written better too. Sandrock just feels better to me and more polished. Originally posted by SilentRPGamer:While I like Sandrock more, I'd buy Portia and play that first.Īfter playing Sandrock, I have a hard time going back to Portia. The main reason to play one of these games not Dyson Sphere Constructor or Factorio or things is the layer of fiction and if you find yourself not warming to the cast for what ever reason, especially the more prominent cast members, you wont get the enjoyment your money should buy. Its an actually finished game so you know what you are getting. Originally posted by Kishero:Right now? Portia without a doubt. Watch some streams see how you like the NPCs in both games first as well. Go to store page, find Sandrock and click 'Follow' then go to Portia and click 'buy' right now. Quests are about the same 'the town needs a thing, build it' or 'something dangerous is near and the civil corps are already thin stretched' Romances, its really impossible to say because they are barely implemented at this stage (Comes in august with weddings not till around December). Its an actually finished game so you know what you are getting.Īlso while its mechanics are less polished, its a game that ( at present, see above, in my opinion) does a much better job of connecting you to the world and its central town.
